Medulin


Once a fishing village, today a modern tourist resort, Medulin offers a dynamic and eventful vacation. Everything is focussed on tourism. There is a bank in town that works all year round, as well as ATMs, post office, doctors' offices, pharmacy, marketplace, car wash, stores, souvenir shops, jewelry shops, hairdressers and galleries. A wide variety of entertainment is offered, ranging from discotheques open until morning to terraces with live music.

Medulin's unique sandy beach Bijeca, one kilometer long, attracts families with young children. Nature lovers prefer campsites where they can relax in the shade of century old pine trees. Medulin is also the perfect place for naturists who want to feel nature. There is also plenty of entertainment and fun until the early morning hours for the younger generation.

Situated on the southern-most part of the Istrian Peninsula, Medulin offers all the littoral maritime and climatic advantages characteristic for agreeable southern ambiance. The Mediterranean climate characteristic for this region, causes and conditions expressively mild winters and warm summers, so that the average daily temperature, in the coldest month of January, doesn't fall below 6°C, and in the warmest month od July the temperature surpasses 24°C. Clean Sea is one of the most important traits of Medulin, and bathers can enjoy it beginning as early as May up to October.

Medulin is given particular attractiveness by 42 km low and filigree indented coast of the Medulin bay with numerous coves and 9 islets of the Medulin archipelago. The landscape is mildly hilly and covered predominantly by pine woods that reach the sea itself.
Intensive development of Medulin as a tourist centre and its beautiful landscapes provide in summer months accommodation and rest for more than 25000 guests.
